Assessing Conditions – Whether your experience is good or bad is often determined before you even enter the water.
Weather is the most important consideration in evaluating diving conditions because it impacts conditions both above and below the water. In fact, few other leisure activities are as much at the mercy of the weather as diving. But to properly evaluate weather conditions and their suitability for diving, you must first have at least a basic knowledge of how the weather can effect your dive.
The first step in making an informed decision about weather is getting accurate information. That means getting a forecast from these local weather forecast links.

What our members Say
Amazing company and top class service, as I’m a beginner, Bluewater helped me above and beyond and was more than patient, his responses were quick and he has a genuine care for you to enjoy and move forward with your training! Highly recommended!
I use Cormeton all the time and I would like to recommend it to every one interested in purchasing kit form a friendly bunch. Without thier knowledge of dive cylinders, I would still be researching where to go and what to buy, they always keep me on the right track and look out for my safety as their number one priority. It is very conveniently located and the customer service is very reactive. I will always make them my first port of call when looking to make new purchases and take advice.
Let me say something. Deepblue have an amazing shop and awesome range. They helped me when I needed them the most, when my equipment failed and needed replacing. This is what I call an “extra mile” in customer relationship. So I give 10 stars for the range on offer in the store and I’d give 10 stars for support & service.
The Dive Centre has a convenient location and is widely accessible from any point within the north east. The staff are all divers themselves, so they know what they are talking about when they give advice. I have been using The Dive Centre for many years now and will continue to do so for many years to come.
When I dive at St Abbs, I always go to Paul and Pathfinder. Paul always finds us the right spot to dive for the level of divers I am diving with and knows this area like the back of his hand.
His boat has all the facilities on board and space required for what I need when diving and I always feel like I am diving with a skipper who I trust.
