We must be all crazy. At 05:00 alarms started going off at various houses of the Fell Divers as we had to meet up at 06:00 to make ropes off at 09:00 at St Abbs. I have never seen so many tired people who were willing and happy to be meeting up at such an undignified hour in my life.

We of course made the ropes off and by this time we were all wide awake and ready to go.

First dive was Paul’s Gullies, a secret location known only to the skipper, and boy was this worth it, teaming with sea life and a superb dive location (Thanks Skipper, we look forward to going back there, maybe next time without blindfolds?). Dive time 45 minute at 20 metres depth.

Second Dive was down to Eyemouth to dive the Hurkas. Upon arrival we saw a bunch of seals basking on the rocks and we thought we would get a few in to play and dive with us. By the end of the dive the same seals were still on the rocks, lazy so-and-so’s. Still without their interaction a good dive with a bit of a drift going on. Dive time was 45 minutes at 15 metres depth.

A full boat for both dives, which is the way we like it, lots of Fell Divers on board and a few of our usual friends who join us and some new friends who we met on board.

All in all a great day was had by all and now the season is in full swing we look forward to our next dive, which is only around the corner.

However the absolute star of the show was Fell Divers newest Member Elaine Dinsley, who made us all lunch. We have never been so spoilt and we are all extremely thankful to Elaine for providing such a gourmet buffet. We are so glad you decided to join Fell Divers.
